? Trouble with an electrical contractor ?

A neighbor of mine had trouble with a contractor - an electrician. They did half the work and didn't come back to finish and don't return phone calls. My neighbor paid for most of the work ahead of time. What can they do now ?

By the way: The electrician your recommended worked out great for me but my neighbor went with another one who was "cheaper". I guess that's what you get when you go for the cheapest.

I'm glad you're pleased with the electrical work done on your house. The same electrician has done work for me so I know he's good. We only recommend local contractors who have been around; who have established themselves as honest & reliable businessmen.

Your friend may have to do one or more of these things.
A. Seek legal action thru a lawyer

B. File a complaint with the La Secretary of State and the Home Builders Assoc - both state & local

C. File complaint with the La License Board for Contractors

Sometimes just a letter from a lawyer can be enough to encourage a non responsive contractor to finish the job
