should be possible as long as you don’t want a 5,000 sq ft house that’s 3 stories. Then it would be to costly

The previous comment is correct to a point, however there is no restriction on size or how many stories (as long as zoning permits). Our homes range from 1,000 to over 3,000 Sq. Ft. but we could easily design one that's 6,000. Since there is a lot of work involved in custom designs, you would have to bear that cost just as you would if you hired an architect & structural engineer. The difference is the modular end product is stronger, many times safer & more energy efficient.
Custom design is no problem, but like anytime you add customized extras & options, the cost goes up.

I checked out the different house plans from Chasm Homes. So many choices, you should have no problem finding one you like. Also, they offered a lot of custom
options.
Note: the plans shown on their website is a small % of all they have available. I looked at website then called them.
We are down to choosing between 2 different plans.

Why waste money on custom design when there are so many different plans out there. Unless you HAVE to have a certain layout and you're willing to spend the money - its no worth the trouble !
